KILLINGLY — Kate Johnson and Miranda Arruda scored 15 points each as Stonington High defeated Killingly, 72-30, in an ECC out-of-division girls basketball game on Friday.
Johnson was 5 of 6 from the field, including three 3-pointers. She also contributed three rebounds, three assists and four steals.
Stonington had another good shooting night, making 42.3 percent of its field goal attempts. The Bears shot 70 percent (7 of 10) from the free-throw line.
Zoe Riberio finished with 11 points. Sophia Bell led the team in rebounding with eight.
Stonington, which has won seven straight since a loss to New London on Jan. 12, led 28-2 at the end of the first quarter.
Killingly dropped to 5-13. Stonington (15-3) next hosts Woodstock Academy on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
