WESTERLY — John Romanoff rushed for three touchdowns as the Westerly Senior football team downed Montville, 50-12, in a Southern New England Youth Football Conference game Sunday.

Romanoff scored on runs of 5, 5, and 12 yards. Zack Alabanese scored on runs of 42 and 55 yards. Andre Adams had a 7-yard TD run.

Eric Fusaro caught a 35-yard TD pass from Romello Hamelin. Fusaro also returned a kickoff 40 yards to set up Adams' score and he recovered a fumble.

Drew Bozek kicked four extra points.

Fifteen players had tackles. Ben Gorman and Romanoff were the leading tacklers. Westerly's offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage throughout the game.

Westerly (5-4) will receive a forfeit from Ledyard next week during the final weekend of the regular season. The Bulldogs still have a chance at a playoff spot.

Westerly Juniors 32, Montville 6

WESTERLY — Terrell Hill rushed for more than 200 yards and scored four times in the Westerly win Sunday.

Hill's longest TD run was 66 yards. Louis Misto also scored on a 30-yard run.

Mike Gervasini played well at quarterback and ran in a conversion. Mason Gingerella caught a conversion pass from Caleb Williams.

Mateo Lamphere had seven tackles, two for a loss.  Gingerella recovered a fumble and Logan Startz intercepted a pass. Hill, Williams, Startz, Misto, AJ Crider, Damian Pimentel, Trystan Johnstone and Malaki Hazard all had multiple tackles.

Westerly travels to Ledyard on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Chariho Peewees 33, North Providence 7

NORTH PROVIDENCE — Harrison England scored two touchdowns and rushed for more than 125 yards in the Chariho win Sunday.

England scored on runs of 50 and 35 yards as Chariho moved to 3-3. England also ran in a conversion.

Camren Jones was 5-of-10 passing, including a 12-yard touchdown to Trevor Cheney and a conversion to Brayden Landgren. Jones scored on a 9-yard run. Reilly Porter had a 2-yard TD run.

Defensive linemen Lucas Callahan, Bruce Price, and Daimon Senna each had multiple tackles for a loss. Cornerback Randy Gobern had a tackle on fourth down to stop a Jets drive that would have tied the game. 

Porter, Jones and England played well at linebacker making numerous tackles.

Chariho Jr. Peewees 6, North Providence 0

NORTH PROVIDENCE — Dustin Peno scored the game's only touchdown in the second overtime on a sweep lifting Chariho to the victory.

Carter Hopkins had a number of strong runs up the middle on the scoring drive.

Julius Wilson finished with eight tackles, three for a loss. Adchaeu Harris, Riley Finnerty, Peno and Michael Newton played well defensively.

Chariho hosts unbeaten North Kingstown on Sunday.
