CHARLESTOWN — Amani Boamah and Konnor Perrin scored two touchdowns each as the Chariho Varsity beat North Providence, 32-14, to earn a spot in the Rhode Island Pop Warner Super Bowl.

Chariho will play the Oakwood Raiders Sunday at Bryant College in Smithfield at 1:30 p.m.

Boamah scored on runs of 10 and 6 yards. Perrin had scoring runs of 16 and 2 yards.

Corbin Marisa also returned an interception 31 yards for a score. Chariho led 20-8 at the half.

River Spears kicked an extra point.

Chariho beat Oakwood 14-0 in the regular season when Boamah returned a fumble 99 yards for a touchdown as Oakwood was driving late in the game.

NK Jaguars 13, Chariho Jr. Peewees 12

CHARLESTOWN — Chariho scored the first two touchdowns of the game, but lost to the North Kingstown Jaguars, 13-12, in a Rhode Island Pop Warner Junior Peewees youth football semifinal game Sunday.

Carter Hopkins scored on a 40-yard run and Dustin Peno went in from 50 yards away on Chariho’s first two possessions. Both scores came from the blocking of Michael Newton.

North Kingstown scored a touchdown in the third quarter and made the extra point to trail, 12-7. A TD run in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference.

Callan Gooding, Naishon Appleton-King, Ezrah Schonrog, played well on the defensive side. Newton and Peno make open field tackles to prevent scores. Appleton-King also recovered a fumble.
