WOONSOCKET — Brian Garcia, Judea Balmonte and Adam Gomez each notched pins as Westerly High suffered two losses in a Division II-A wrestling meet Thursday.

The Bulldogs fell to Burrillville, 66-12, and to Woonsocket, 66-15.

Garcia trailed Burrillville's Jack Sullivan 6-0 in the 126-pound match before earning his pin in 4:43.

"That was a pretty good match," Bulldogs coach Al Gaccione said. "[Sullivan's] a tough wrestler."

Balmonte (220 pounds) pinned his Burrillville opponent in 45 second and earned a win by forfeit against Woonsocket (3-0, 3-0 Division II-A).

Burrillville improved to 4-0, 4-0.

Adam Gomez pinned his Woonsocket opponent in 3:50.

"He dominated the match from beginning to end," Gaccione said. "For a first-year wrestler to go out and do that, that's tough to do."

The Bulldogs (0-4, 0-4) next travel to Pelham, N.H., on Saturday for the Daniel Giornet Memorial Tournament.
