WARWICK — Westerly High won five bouts, but lost to unbeaten Toll Gate, 54-24, in a Division II wrestling match Wednesday night.

Brian Garcia (126 pounds, 2:46), Brayden Irving (160, 1:13) and Judea Balmonte (220, :31) each won their bouts with pins. For Balmonte, it was his first match at 220 after wrestling the earlier part of the season at 285.

Adam Gomez earned a 4-1 win at 145. Brendan Young prevailed, 2-0, at 195.

"We wrestled great tonight. All of them are really showing progress and are now putting moves together," Westerly coach Al Gaccione said.

Toll Gate moved to 7-0-1, 7-0-1 Division II-B. Westerly (2-3, 2-3 Division II-A) next travels to Pelham, N.H., to compete in the Daniel Giornet Memorial Tournament on Saturday at 10 a.m.
