C.J. Sheldon

HOPKINTON — C.J. Sheldon of Ashaway earned first-team All-State honors in four events for the Bishop Hendricken swim team this season.

He won the 100 and 200 freestyle events at the state championship meet. He also swam the anchor leg for the winning 200 free and 400 free relays, helping the Hawks to the team title.

He was first-team All-Division I in the 200 free, 100 free, 200 free relay and 400 free relay as Hendricken won the team title at the D-I championships.

Sheldon established school records in the 50 free (21.79) and the 100 free (46.59). He was undefeated in every event he swam in for the Hawks this season.

Sheldon was a YMCA New England champion in the 200 and 500 free, and won district titles in the same two races.
