UNCASVILLE — St. Bernard pitcher Emily Nelson allowed no hits in the Saints' 19-0 win over Wheeler High in an ECC Division IV softball game Wednesday.

The game was stopped after 4½ innings by the mercy rule.

Nelson struck out five and walked none in five innings. Wheeler's Addie Hauptmann reached on an error in the fourth.

The Saints (4-9, 2-4 Division IV) scored 14 runs of their runs in the second inning.

The Lions (4-10, 2-7) don't play again until May 16, when they host Ellis Tech at 4 p.m.
