PAWTUCKET — Westerly High pounded out 22 hits and beat Tolman, 17-0, on Thursday in a Division II softball game that ended after five innings because of the mercy rule.

Timmary Main was 3 for 3 with a triple and four RBIs, and Megan Albamonti and Miranda Carreiro finished with three hits each. Albamonti drove in a pair and tripled.

Alex Mitchell and Adrienne Bowen each tripled and drove in three runs. Ally Northup was 3 for 4.

Northup pitched all five innings to earn the win. She struck out 10.

Tolman dropped to 3-7, 3-6 Division II. Westerly (7-3, 7-2) next travels to Exeter-West Greenwich on Monday for a 4 p.m. game.
