WESTERLY — Westerly High managed just one hit after the first inning and fell to West Warwick, 4-2, in a Division II softball game Tuesday at Cimalore Field.

Ally Northup and Elena Murdock each drove in runs in the first inning when the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead. Westerly had four hits in the inning, but finished with just five for the game.

Northup was the only Westerly player with more than one hit.

West Warwick (6-2, 6-2 Division II) scored three times in the sixth inning to take a 4-2 lead. The Wizards finished with 10 hits.

Northup pitched all seven innings and took the loss. She struck out five.

Westerly (7-4, 7-3) next travels to Narragansett on Thursday for a 4 p.m. game.
