WESTERLY — The Rhody Wave Runners softball team swept a doubleheader, defeating the Norwich Stealth, 12-2, and the North Kingstown RipTide, 8-3, on Sunday at Cimalore Field.

Ella Keegan homered and tripled in the win against the Stealth. Tori Gabriele had two hits, two RBIs and a double, Sara Arnold added an RBI triple, and Abby Emery had two hits and three RBIs.

Ava D’Ortona was the winning pitcher. She struck out three and did not allow an earned run. Her ERA for the fall season is 0.54.

Tori Gabriele struck out eight in four innings to earn the win against the RipTide. Gabriele had three hits and two RBIs. Abby Emery had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice.

D’Ortona, Gabriele, Lyla Auth, Emery and Eden Hewes all had multiple hits.

The Wave Runners host the RI Rampage on Sunday at 10 a.m., and the Lumberyard at 11:30 a.m.
