STONINGTON — Fryeburg High scored 11 runs over the final four innings and beat Stonington High, 14-6, in a nonleague softball game Wednesday morning.

The Maine school scored six runs in the top of the fourth to take a 9-2 lead.

Stonington committed five errors and did not play well defensively, according to coach Ann-Marie Houle.

Shea O'Connor was 2 for 3 for Stonington. Miranda Arruda led off the game with a homer. Tori LoPresto and Colette Dreher also tripled.

Stonington (3-3) next hosts Fitch on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
