WESTERLY — Westerly High finished with just six hits and lost to Rogers, 6-2, in a Division II softball game Tuesday at Cimalore Field.

Westerly coach Chris Luppe said the Bulldogs had several opportunities in the game to score more runs, but failed to convert. No Westerly player had more than one hit.

Gabby Brennan and Hannah Nicholson each drove in runs for the Bulldogs.

Rogers (8-1, 8-0 Division II) led 4-0 after three innings. Westerly scored twice in the fourth inning to make it 5-2, but could get no closer.

Ally Northup pitched all seven innings. Only four of the runs she allowed were earned and she struck out seven.

Westerly (6-3, 6-2) next travels to Tolman on Thursday at 4:15 p.m.
