LINCOLN — Kate Powers pitched a two-hitter and struck out 12 as Chariho High beat Lincoln, 4-1, in a Division I softball game Wednesday.

Powers walked just a pair.

Caitlin O'Leary finished 2 for 4, including a two-run single in the second that put Chariho ahead to stay. Shelby Roode was 2 for 3 and also drove in a run.

Powers and Annaliese Kenney contributed two hits each, and Mastin doubled.

Lincoln dropped to 2-17, 1-17 Division I. Chariho is 16-3, 15-3. The Chargers will likely be the No. 5 seed in the Division tournament.

The division winners receive the top four seeds and byes into the double-elimination round of the state tournament. Chariho had a better record than two of the division winners, but finished second behind La Salle in its division.

Chariho next travels to Westerly on Saturday for a nonleague game at 7 p.m.
