WESTERLY — Alex Mitchell tripled, doubled and drove in five runs as Westerly High beat Exeter-West Greenwich, 15-1, in a Division II softball game Thursday.

The game was called after 4½ innings by the mercy rule.

Megan Albamonti and Miranda Carreiro tripled and drove in three runs apiece. Albamonti was 3 for 4.

Timmary Main doubled and drove in two runs. Ally Northup also had two RBIs.

Northup struck out six to earn the win.

EWG dropped to 8-8, 7-8 Division II. Westerly (13-5, 13-5) hosts Chariho High in a nonleague game Saturday at 7 p.m.
