STONINGTON — Ken Pocius' 79 won first low-gross honors in Flight A of a South Eastern New England Golf Association tournament Monday at Elmridge Golf Course in Pawcatuck.

The format of the event was low gross and high points.

Lionel Pepin was second low gross in Flight A with an 80. First high points was Larry Sullivan with six; Ron Agnotta was second with five.

There were 142 participants in the tournament. Results of other flights follow:

Flight B: first low gross, Keith Greene, 84*; second, Jim King, 84; first high points, Rick Lawrence, five*; second, Byron Brown, five*.

Flight C: first low gross, Glen Mortoro, 81; second, Vin Bartuca, 82; first high points, Dennis Romano, 10; second, Richard Ault, nine*.

Flight D: first low gross, Mark Holeman, 84; second, Larry Beason, 85; first high points, John Uhoch, 11; second, Wayne Todd, 10.

Flight E: first low gross, Howard Dunn, 91*; second, George Taylor, 91*; first high points, Bob Thurber, eight; second, Bill Smyth, 12.

Flight F: first low gross, Neil Sklaroff, 89; second, Ray Labelle, 96; first high points, John Paride, 11*; second, Nick Capobianco, 11.

* Ties broken by a match of cards.
