RICHMOND — Scott Beattie earned first low-gross honors in Flight A of a South Eastern New England Senior Golf Association tournament Monday at Meadow Brook Golf Course.

The format of the event was low gross and high points; 151 participated.

Beattie shot a 77 and won on a match of cards with Rob Charette, who also had a 77.

First high points in Flight A was Al Sequin with eight; second was Steve Groden with six.

The results of the other flights follow:

Flight B: first low gross, Bob McMillan, 82; second, Ed Bruno, 83; first high points, Ben Brown, five*, second, Allen Holden, five.

Flight C: first low gross, Norm Lagerstrom, 88; second, Richard Ault, 92*; first high points, Gus Andreopoulos, one; second, Richard Herrick, none*.

Flight D: first low gross, Bill Ferguson, 88; second, Larry Beason, 93; first high points, Steve Reilly, four*; second, Bill Welsh, four.

Flight E: first low gross, Bruce Rose, 93; second, John Pelt, 94; first high points, Jesse Johnson, six*; second, Bill Serio, six.

Flight F: first low gross, Neil Sklaroff, 99; second, Galen Hoffman, 101; first high points, Bob Vredenburg, nine; second, Nick Capobianco, eight.

* Ties broken by a match of cards.
