WESTERLY — Nick Turo, a soon-to-be Westerly High senior, won the 5K race during Week 10 of the Tom McCoy Family Fun Run Series on Wednesday, the series' regular-season finale.

Turo finished the 3.2-mile course, which starts and ends in Misquamicut, in 17:16. It was his second straight win and fourth of the series.

Rounding out the top three males were Sebastian Reisch in second (17:46), and Aaron Tallardy in third (18:59).

In the female division, Erin vonHousen took first for the sixth time this season, finishing in 21:28.

Sarah Kearney was the runner-up (22:06), and Anelise Gawlak was third (24:23).

In the children's ⅓-mile race, Greg West was first in 1:55, his fifth victory of the summer. The next two boys were Emmett Holland (2:12), and Luke West (2:17).

The top three girls, in order, were Lucy Walker (2:07, sixth win), Maddy Murray (2:12) and Megan Hutchison (2:17).

The Bottone Mile, a measured road race, and the end-of-season Fun Run awards ceremony are scheduled next Wednesday.
