HARTFORD, VT. — Will Lucas drove in four run as the Mystic Schooners defeated the Upper Valley Nighthawks, 10-1, in the first game of a a New England Collegiate Baseball League game doubleheader Wednesday.

Upper Valley won the second game, 3-2.

Lucas (Connecticut) drove in two runs with a single in the fourth. He also had a sacrifice fly and drew a bases-loaded walk.

Ben Maycock (Connecticut) finished 2 for 3 with two RBIs. TT Bowens (Central Connecticut) also drove in a run, his 48th RBI of the season.

Nolan Kessinger (UMass) was 2 for 4 with a triple.

Tyler Schoff (Bryant) pitched six innings to earn the win. He struck out six and allowed just two hits and one earned run.

In the second game, Mystic (22-20-1) scored two runs in the top of the seventh, but could get no closer. The Schooners had just two hits.

Upper Valley improved to 24-19.
