SALEM —Jillian Fugere pitched a complete game and struck out 14 to lead the Groton/Mystic 8-10 Little League softball All-Stars to a 7-1 victory over Waterford on Monday in the double-elimination portion of the District 10 tournament.

Fugere and Mallory Bogle each had two hits in the victory for Groton/Mystic, which improved to 6-0 in the tournament.

On Saturday at the Pawcatuck Little League complex, Fugere pitched a no-hitter in Groton-Mystic's 11-0 victory over Salem/Montville.

The game was stopped in the fifth inning by the mercy rule.

Fugere struck out nine and walked none.

Jaedyn Steffens led the Groton/Mystic offense with three hits. Bogle, Leilani McCoy and Michaela Miner each added two hits.
