GROTON — Trace Morales used his bat and his arm to deliver the Mystic 10-12 Little League All-Stars another win in the District 10 baseball tournament.

Thursday against East Lyme, Morales allowed no hits through 5⅓ innings and struck out 10 from the mound; at the plate, he hit a two-run home run and a double as the Mystic 12s rolled to a 7-1 win over East Lyme at Burrows Field.

The victory put Mystic (6-0) in the district championship game on Sunday.

Liam Joyce added three hits, including a double.

On Wednesday at Burrows, Joyce earned the win on the mound as Mystic topped Waterford, 6-2.

The game was the first in the double-elimination portion of the tournament for the Mystic 10s. They went 4-0 in pool play.

Joyce allowed two runs on five hits and one walk. He struck out nine. Morales picked up the save.

Griffin Pollard had two hits and two RBIs for Mystic, and Morales added an RBI single.
