NEW LONDON — Evan Tower scored two goals and assisted on another as the Eastern Connecticut Eagles topped Tri-Town, 4-2, Wednesday night in a rematch of last season's Division II title game.

Trent Hughson blocked a shot and took the puck the length of the ice scoring early in the third period to give the Eagles a 3-1 lead.

Ryan Huta closed out the scoring with a goal in the final minute in the game played at Connecticut College.

Goalie Rylin Fowler had 28 saves in goal. The Eagles are 2-1 and host SWGL at Conn College on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Stonington High and Wheeler High players are on the team.
