NORWICH — Evan Tower scored three goals as the Eastern Connecticut Eagles opened the season with a win against the Redhawks, 7-2, Saturday night.

Tower also contributed two assists. Ryan Huta had two goals and an assist and Will Cannella contributed a goal and two assists.

Defensemen Devyn Jordan (one goal, two assists), and Kyle Marino, Ashton Baltes, and Miles Hinckley (one assist each) contributed to the scoring.

Goalie Rylin Fowler stopped 10 of 12 shots. Players from Stonington High and Wheeler High are on the team.
