EAST HAVEN — Guilford downed the Eastern Connecticut Eagles, 9-8, in a hockey game Thursday night at the East Haven Rink.

Kyle Jacobson finished with three goals and two assists, while Evan Tower scored twice and had two assists. The third member of the Eagles' top line, Ryan Huta, contributed a goal and five assists.

Trent Hughson and Devyn Jordan scored a goal each, Alex Mann and Jordan also had assists, and Will Cannella had one assist. Goalie Rylin Fowler made 20 saves.

The Eagles fell to 3-2.

Players from Stonington High and Wheeler High play on the Eagles team.
