THOMPSON, Conn. — Stonington High's Liz Crandall finished second in the ECC girls golf tournament Thursday at Quinnatisset Country Club.

Crandall shot an 8-over 44 on the par-36 course.

Waterford's Caroline Petchark won the event with an ECC-record 3-under 33.

Linda St. Laurent and Katherine Harrington, both of Woodstock, tied for third with 47s.

Woodstock won the team title with a score of 192. NFA was second with a 203.

Crandall was Stonington's only participant.
