WATERFORD — Stonington High finished sixth in the ECC Championship golf tournament Thursday at Great Neck Country Club.

The Bears finished with a score of 355, 71 over par. East Lyme shot 323, 39 over, to earn the title. Killingly was second with 332, 48 over.

Stonington's R.J. Parrilla finished with a 13-over 84 on the par 71 course. Others who contributed to the Stonington team score were Jacob Geary (16th, 14-over 85), Grant Hamilton (tied for 19th, 17-over 88) and Aiden Adams (40th, 27-over 98).

Geary had birdies on No. 5 and No. 15. Both holes were par 4s.

Jared Belanger of Tourtellotte, Mason Stewart of Woodstock and Nolan Marcoux of Killingly tied for first with 4-over 75s.

Stonington next competes in the Division III tournament Tuesday at Fairview Golf Course in Harwinton, Conn., on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
