HARWINTON, Conn. — Grant Hamilton shot a 6-over 78 and R.J. Parrilla was right behind with a 79 to lead Stonington High to a fourth-place finish at the Division III state tournament Thursday morning at Fairview Farm Golf Course.

Hamilton, whose 78 tied him with two others for seventh place, parred 12 of the 18 holes.

Parrilla, who was among a group of three at 79, had two birdies — on the 320-yard par-4 14th and the 510-yard par-5 18th — and nine pars.

Colby Norton of Lewis Mills shot a 3-under 69 to win the individual championship. He had four birdies and bogeyed just one hole.

Stonington's team score was 331.

Also contributing to the Bears' total were Cooper Wall (85) and Jacob Geary (89).

East Catholic won the team title with a score of 315. Killingly (319) was second, and Lewis Mills (320) was third.
