RICHMOND — Scott Beattie of Westerly earned the South Eastern New England Senior Golf Association league championship during the last two weeks at Meadow Brook Golf Course.

Beattie had a two-week gross score of 153.

The flight champions based on two-week net scores were: Flight A, Albert Sequin, Cranston, 127; Flight B, Allen Holden, Douglas, Massachusetts, 133; Flight C, Richard Herrick, Ledyard, 143; Flight D, William Ferguson, Pawcatuck, 138; Flight E, William Smyth,  Westerly, 134 and Flight F, Neil Sklaroff Charlestown, 131.

In the weekly event, Mike Gouin had the low gross score in Flight A with a 73. Beattie was next with a 76. Sequin was first in points with nine and John Testagrossa second with four.

All ties were broken by a match of cards.

Other flight results were: Flight B, gross, Holden, 83, Rick Lawrence 84, points, Ray Cieplik, five, Roy Wieselquist three; Flight C, gross, Mark Godbout 91, Herrick 91, points, Rich Finelli four, Larry DeBarros two; Flight D, gross, Frank Socha 92, Charlie Rainey 92, points, Steve Reilly five, Bob Stadleman two; Flight E, gross Elton Ricker 92, Smyth 94, points, Bill Serio six, Len Kaminski five; Flight F, gross, Sklaroff 92, Justin Paoloni 100, points, Steve Bloom eight and Nick Capobianco eight.

The event had 147 players.
