PROVIDENCE — Westerly High's Helena Hall-Thomsen won the 400 on Saturday at the Mount Pleasant Invitational, the final tuneup before the state track meet next weekend.

Hall-Thomsen turned in a time of 57.25, and Sydney Federico was second (59.46).

Caelan Holdredge was second in the 100 hurdles (16.12), as was Megan Albamonti in the javelin (132-7). Dulcinea Burgo of Central Falls won the javelin with a very impressive 144-10. A throw of 143-3 won the New England title last season.

Anna Cozzolino was fifth in the javelin (108-10).

Westerly's 4x100 relay team of Hall-Thomsen, Federico, Holdredge and Diana Turano placed second (50.08).

Westerly will next compete in the state championships at Brown University on Saturday. Field events start at 12:30 p.m. and running events at 1.
