WEST WARWICK — Megan Albamonti established a school record in the javelin as the Westerly High girls track team closed the Southern Division dual-meet season with a pair of losses Monday.
Albamonti placed first with a throw of 135-1. Albamonti threw 124-7 to win the state title last season.
Westerly (4-5) lost to West Warwick, 91-57, and East Greenwich, 76-63.
Sydney Federico won the 200 (27.2) and the 400 (61.2).
Caelan Holdredge finished first in the 300 hurdles (51.3) and second in the 100 hurdles (16.6).
Helena Hall-Thomsen placed first in the 800 (2:22.8).
Anna Cozzolino contributed a second in the 400 (65.5) and a third in the javelin (92-5).
Nina Cillino was third in the 400 (67.7) and the 200 (29.3).
Other third-place finishers were Alex Mitchell, long jump (15-2); Hannah Diego, triple jump (30-7.5); and Isabel Huckle, hammer (71-3).
The 4x400 relay team of Cillino, Cozzolino, Federico and Hall-Thomsen placed first (4:19.6).
Westerly next hosts the Moretti Invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m.
