COVENTRY — For the second time in three days, Westerly High's Megan Albamonti improved upon her school record in the javelin.
Albamonti, who is headed to the University of Delaware to throw the javelin for the Blue Hens, finished first at the Southern Division track championships with a toss of 139-10 Monday at Coventry High.
Alabamonti had bettered her school mark with a throw of 136-5 during the Brian Moretti Invitational at Westerly High on Saturday.
Westerly finished third in the team standings with 92 points. South Kingstown edged North Kingstown, 120-118, for the team title.
Westerly's Helena Hall-Thomsen finished first in the 800 (2:24.74).
Diana Turano contributed a third in the 100 (13.63) and a fourth in the 200 (28.15).
Anna Cozzolino was second in the 400 (1:03.81), and Nina Cillino placed fourth (1:05.40). Cozzolino was also second in the javelin (111-10).
Jenna Burke finished fifth in the 1,500 (5:05.88).
Caelan Holdredge placed second in the 300 hurdles (47.75) and third in the 100 hurdles (16.66).
Westerly's 4x100 relay team of Cillino, Hall-Thomsen, Holdredge and Federico finished first (50.65).
Westerly's Hall-Thomsen, Cillino, Cozzolino and Burke won the 4x400 (4:16.81).
Kata Cummings, Hedy Goodman, Abbey Keegan and Madison Lorello placed third in the 4x800 (10:37.55).
Westerly next competes at the Cumberland Invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m.
