STONINGTON — Stonington High's third doubles team prevailed in straight sets to lift the Bears past East Lyme, 4-3, in an ECC Division I girls tennis match Friday.

The match was tied at 3 when Grace Milne and Mia Lewandowski prevailed, 6-1, 6-2.

Amelia Caron and Cassie Onorato won at No. 1 doubles, 6-4, 6-4. No. 2 Katie Johnstone and Chloe Morehouse won their match, 6-2, 6-2.

No. 1 Maddie Hamm was the lone singles winner for Stonington, 6-1, 6-0.

East Lyme dropped to 4-4, 1-4 Division I. Stonington (10-1, 3-1) next travels to New London on Monday for a 5 p.m. match.
