SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Jenna Burke and Jessica Burke won two events each as the Westerly High girls swim team edged South Kingstown, 49-44, at the University of Rhode Island on Monday.

Jenna Burke was first in the 200 freestyle (2:24.28) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.03).

Jessica Burke won the 500 free (6:13) and the 100 butterfly (1:10.26).

Melanie Gomes finished first in the 200 individual medley (2:27.71) and second in the 100 free (1:00.21).

Jordan Allen finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:26.99) and third in the 200 individual medley (2:56.30).

Emma Turano placed third in the 200 free (2:35.38) and the 500 free (7:12.35).

Myranda Johnstone was third in the 50 free (29.97).

The Burkes, Gomes and Johnstone won the 200 medley relay (2:04.18) and the 200 free relay (1:52.71).

Johnstone, Grace Armstrong, Turano and Allen took second in the 400 free relay (5:40.75).

Jenni Pringer, Kata Cummings, Armstrong and Elena Murdock finished second in the 200 medley relay (2:23.44).

Turano, Armstrong, Cummings and Allen finished third in the 200 free relay (2:04.63).

Westerly is 3-0 overall and in the division. SK is 1-4, 1-4.

Westerly next hosts Lincoln School on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean Community YMCA.
