CUMBERLAND — Melanie Gomes, Jenna Burke and Jessica Burke each won two events and swam on two winning relays as the Westerly High girls team defeated PCD/St. Raphael, 60-32, in a Stoyko Division meet Saturday.

Gomes won the 100 freestyle (59.25) and the 100 breaststroke (1:13.75).

Jenna Burke won the 50 free (26.76) and the 100 backstroke (1:11.23).

Jessica Burke placed first in the 200 free (2:13.89) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.67).

London Armitage placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:41.01) and was second in the 500 free.

The Burkes, Gomes and Armitage placed first in the 200 medley relay (2:04.26) and the 400 free relay (4:16.83).

Sophia Martino finished third in the 100 free and the 100 breaststroke.

Other third-place finishers were Sofia Cozzolino (200 free), Lainey Corina (50 free), Olivia Lund (500 free) and Jennie Pringer (100 backstroke).

Emma Turano, Martino, Cozzolino and Elena Murdock finished first in the 200 free relay (2:00.10).

Nayeli Uben, Paige Caron, Corina and Mya Malkemes placed third in the 200 free relay.

Westerly (5-2) next travels to Cranston West on Monday for a 6:30 p.m. meet.
