PROVIDENCE — Gia Keegan scored a pair of goals and Westerly High topped the Wheeler School, 2-1, in a Division II girls soccer game Saturday.

Keegan, who has been slowed by an injury recently, played a half in Friday's tie with Toll Gate and played about 65 minutes on Saturday. The freshman forward is tied for second on the team in goals with three.

Jillian Octeau and Diana Turano were credited with assists.

"It was a standout performance by the entire team," Westerly coach Jay Hudson said. "The entire defense was outstanding. We owned the midfield and made some great runs."

Wheeler is 5-6-1, 5-6-1 Division II.

Westerly (5-6-3, 5-4-3) next hosts West Warwick on Thursday at 4 p.m.
