WESTERLY — Lauren Dobson scored six goals and Westerly High wrapped up the No. 1 seed for the Division II girls lacrosse tournament with a 16-6 win against Cranston West on Saturday at Augeri Field.

Westerly (9-1, 9-1 Division II) led 10-1 at the half.

Kata Cummings scored three times and had two assists, and Grace Armstrong, Hedy Goodman, Rachel Dobson and Macie Woycik each scored a goal for the Bulldogs.

Goodman, Abby White and Carly Chretien each had assists.

Westerly won 15 of the 24 draws. Lexus Falcone made eight saves.

"Olivia Chiaradio had nine groundballs, which is amazing," Westerly coach Meg Paisley said. "She was huge in picking up some of those loose balls."

Cranston West dropped to 3-8, 3-8. Westerly closes the regular season Monday, hosting Smithfield at 5 p.m.
