NORTH STONINGTON — Gracie Anderson scored five goals, but the Wheeler High/Grasso Tech co-op team lost to New London, 9-8, in an ECC Division III girls lacrosse match Tuesday.

Wheeler/GT trailed 7-4 at the half.

Daniela Roy scored three times for Wheeler/GT (0-2, 0-2 Division III). Goalie Sam Morrissey made five saves.

It was the season-opener for New London.

Wheeler/GT next hosts St. Bernard on Thursday at 4 p.m.
