NORTH STONINGTON — Wheeler High's Gracie Anderson earned first-team ECC Division IV honors for the girls lacrosse team this season.

Anderson, a senior, was tied for first on the team in goals with 24 and led the Lions in assists with 13. No other player had more than two assists.

Anderson scored six of her goals in a 16-11 loss to New London in May.

Kelly Duarte was the team's ECC sportsmanship award recipient. Sarah Spracklin was the ECC scholar-athlete award winner.

Wheeler finished 1-11, 1-10 in ECC Division IV.
