WILLIMANTIC — Windham scored 30 points in the third quarter and defeated Wheeler High, 64-41, in an ECC out-of-division girls basketball game Friday night.

Wheeler only trailed by four points, 19-15, at halftime.

Leah Pion led the Lions (4-8) in scoring with 14 points. Molly Butremovic addeed eight points and seven rebounds, Addie Hauptmann scored eight points, and Sam Caster finished with six rebounds.

Adalyse Gonzalez made six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points for Windham (8-4).

Wheeler is off until Friday when it travels to Griswold for a 5:30 p.m. game.
