THOMPSON, Conn. — A short-handed Wheeler High girls basketball team dropped a 52-20 decision to Tourtellotte in an ECC Division IV game Friday.

Leah Pion had eight points and five rebounds to lead the Lions, who played without two injured starters, Molly Butremovic and Savannah Galluci. Annie Dussault added six points and six steals.

Lauren Ramos led Tourtellotte (6-11, 2-4 Division IV) with 16 points.

Wheeler (4-12, 1-6) next plays at Grasso Tech on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
