STONINGTON — Montville limited Wheeler High to just six points in the first half and beat the Lions, 51-30, in an ECC Division IV girls basketball game on Friday night at Stonington High.

Montville led 18-6 at the half.

Sam Caster made four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points to lead Wheeler in scoring. Leah Pion finished with nine and Addie Hauptmann had seven, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Montville improved to 11-8 overall and 6-1 in the league.

Wheeler (5-13, 1-7 ECC Division IV) next travels to Westbrook on Monday for a 7 p.m. game.
