KILLINGLY — Killingly's Trinity Angel scored 15 points and the Redgals held off Wheeler High, 31-27, in an ECC out-of-division girls basketball game Friday.

"We got into a lot of foul trouble, but the girls off the bench played tough," Wheeler coach Christine Corah said.

The game was tied at 13 at the half, and the Lions only trailed by two points, 22-20, entering the fourth quarter.

Annie Dussault led the Lions with nine points. Savannah Galluci had nine rebounds.

Killingly is 3-2.

Wheeler (2-3) next travels to Ellis Tech on Thursday for a 12:30 p.m. game.
