WESTERLY — Megan Albamonti had 17 points and 12 rebounds and Westerly High bounced back from a loss with a 48-36 victory over Tiverton in a Division II girls basketball game Tuesday night.
It was the 15th double-double of the season for Albamonti.
The Bulldogs (12-5, 11-2 Division II) led 19-13 at halftime before pulling away.
"The second half we settled down on offense and took care of the basketball," coach Sue Haik said. "We made some easy baskets and that made a big difference compared to the first half. And defensively we communicated better."
Alexa Beal added 10 points and nine rebounds for Westerly, and Emily Haik had seven rebounds, three assists and four steals.
The Bulldogs fell to Juanita Sanchez in their last game, 48-36.
"It's always great to win," coach Haik said. "The girls work hard."
Westerly next plays at Middletown on Thursday at 7 p.m.
