HIGGANUM, Conn. — Miranda Arruda scored 18 points and Aliza Bell had 12 as Stonington High remained unbeaten with a girls basketball win against winless Haddam-Killingworth, 64-16, on Thursday night.

Stonington (5-0) led 41-8 at the half.

Arruda hit a pair of 3-pointers and also had seven rebounds. Aliza Bell led the Bears in rebounding with 18 and her sister, Sophia Bell, contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Zoe Ribeiro had eight points and eight rebounds. Kate Johnson finished with seven points.

H-K dropped to 0-5. Stonington next travels to Griswold on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
