STONINGTON — Stonington High senior Chloe Buck earned All-ECC Division II first-team honors in cheerleading this season.

"She is a fantastic stunter, one of my top fliers," Stonington coach Natalie Lucy said. "She has awesome gymnastics and she's an all-around cheerleader."

For postseason honors in cheerleading, each competitor is required to perform a cheer and two jumps in front of a panel of judges. All the competitors are dressed the same and they do not wear anything that identifies their school.

The judging took place at Ledyard High in February.

The top 10 finishers in each division are first team, and the next five are honorable mention.

Aydyn Celico, a junior, received honorable mention recognition. Celico is a back in the Bears stunt groups, which requires her to support the flier.

Buck and Celico also received the ECC scholar-athlete awards. Olivia Dumaine was the fall recipient of the ECC sportsmanship award, while Ciara Torruella won it for the winter.
