PROVIDENCE — Stonington High's Joey Hinckley took first in the pole vault at the 10th annual Rhode Island Classic boys indoor track meet on Thursday.

Hinckley cleared 13-6 to win the event.

Rhys Hammond finished third in the mile (4:30.36), and Chase Flynn was fourth in the 800 (2:07.40).

Stonington's 4x200 relay team of Ben Abely, Graham Johnstone, Martin Vernet and Hinckley placed sixth (1:38.40), and Abely, Johnstone, Hinckley and Hammond placed sixth in the 1,600 sprint medley relay (3:50.82).
