WATERFORD/EAST LYME — Three Stonington High players advanced to the quarterfinals of the ECC boys singles tennis tournament Tuesday.

Will Michelson won his two matches, 8-0 and 8-0. Jake Stiger prevailed, 8-1, 8-1, and Sean Bessette earned 8-2, 8-1 wins.

The singles matches were played at Waterford High and the doubles at East Lyme.

In doubles, Graham Johnstone and Kyle Remmert received a bye and won their only match, 6-1, 6-0. Quinn Hamilton and Filip Aubrecht also received a bye and won their lone match, 6-1, 6-4, and Justin Johannsen and Jack Ramsdell lost their first match, 8-6.

The tournament resumes Wednesday at East Lyme at 3 p.m.
