EAST LYME — Stonington High's Jake Stiger defeated teammate Will Michelson in the semifinals to reach the title match in the ECC boys tennis tournament Wednesday.

Stiger will face No. 1 seed Finn Power of East Lyme on Thursday at 3 p.m. at East Lyme.

Stiger, the No. 3 seed, defeated No. 2 Michelson, 6-1, 6-7, 6-1. Earlier in the day, Stiger won in the quarterfinals, 6-1 6-7, 6-1. Michelson won his quarterfinal match, 2-6, 6-0, 6-1.

Power has only lost five games in his four matches.

In doubles, Stonington's Graham Johnstone and Kyle Remmert lost in the semifinals to East Lyme's Sujesh Kurumball and Ethan Stewart, 6-4, 6-7, 6-2.

Remmert and Johnstone won their first match of the day, 6-0, 6-1.

Quinn Hamilton and Filip Aubrecht lost in the quarterfinals to Kurumball and Stewart, 6-1, 6-1.
