WOODSTOCK — Stonington High won three singles matches and beat Woodstock Academy, 5-2, in an ECC Division II boys tennis match Saturday.

Stonington (15-1, 5-0) finished first in the league. The Bears start the ECC tournament on Tuesday with singles play at Waterford and doubles at East Lyme at 3 p.m.

Singles winners were No. 1 Jake Stiger, 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-1, No. 2 Will Michelson, 6-0, 6-0, and No. 3 Sean Bessette, 6-0, 6-2.

Graham Johnstone and Kyle Remert were 6-3, 6-3 winners at No. 1 doubles, and Quinn Hamilton and Filip Aubrecht prevailed at No. 2, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4.

Woodstock dropped to 13-4.
