GROTON — Stonington High's A.J. Murko, Ian Sanok and Chase Simao each won individual events to help the Fitch/Stonington co-op team defeat Waterford, 98-61, in a boys swimming meet Friday at Avery Point.

Murko won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:58.97. He was joined on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:50.66) and the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:35.87) by Stonington's Keegan Reck. 

Sanok was first in the 100 butterfly (1:04.13). He was also third in the 500 freestyle (5:48.80) and swam on the second-place 200 medley relay team (1:57.10) with schoolmates Simao and Sam Youtt.

Simao won the 500 freestyle (5:18.70), was part of the runner-up 200 medley relay team and the third-place 200 freestyle relay team (1:49.64) with Stonington's Matthew Nowak.

Keegan Reck also placed third in the 100 butterfly (1:04.13), Nowak was third in the 200 individual medley (2:25.39), and Aaron Reck was part of the second-place 200 freestyle relay team (1:49.12).

Fitch/Stonington next swims against East Lyme on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Avery Point.
