STONINGTON — Tyler Fidrych had a hand in each goal and Stonington High won the ECC Division I boys soccer title with a 3-0 victory over Woodstock Academy on Saturday.
The Bears, 12-0-2 overall, finished with a 5-0-1 mark in Division I.
Fidrych scored Stonington's first goal with 35:27 left in the first half. He added a goal before halftime to give the Bears a 2-0 lead. Elias Dahl assisted on both scores.
Sam Montalto made it 3-0 with 15:04 left in the contest, assisted by Fidrych.
Fidrych, a senior midfielder, has 15 goals and 22 assists this season.
The Bears finished with decided advantages in shots, 12-2, and corner kicks, 6-1, against the Centaurs (1-9-3, 0-6 Division I).
Stonington next hosts Old Lyme on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. in the regular-season finale for both teams.
